This line of research seeks to understand the inflows and outflows of water sources (such as drinking water, wastewater, surface water, groundwater and rainwater) within different urban spatial and temporal scales, measuring, monitoring and evaluating the quantitative and qualitative nature of water inputs and outputs.

 


 

Innovative Technologies & Systems

This line of research consists of studies that seek to analyse and evaluate the performance and applicability of different water technologies and systems capable of promoting efficiency and quality within multiple scales of the built environment.

 


 

 

Planning & Management

This line of research sets out to propose feasible solutions aimed at the preservation of water resources and reducing the severity of adverse droughts, floods and pollution by means of strategic planning, decision-making tools, public policies, and sustainable urban water management.

 

 


 

Water & Society

This line of action aims to establish communication between academia and society to develop activities with the society, promoting the exchange of experiences, knowledge and information between governmental and non-governmental agents, companies, construction professionals and other researchers and students involved in the multiple social dimensions of water.
